Question: (8x)^1/3 x x^3/4

My working: (8x)^1/3 x x^3/4

2x^1/3 x x^3/4

= 2x^13/12

Looks correct to me

Just a note, when doing maths in plain text is is better to use*****for multiply rather than**x**because x can get confused with the variable x

This is nearly impossible to read because you're using x to represent both $\displaystyle x$ and $\displaystyle \times$.

I assume what you are writing is

$\displaystyle (8x)^{\frac{1}{3}}\times x^{\frac{3}{4}}$

$\displaystyle = 8^{\frac{1}{3}} \times x^{\frac{1}{3}} \times x^{\frac{3}{4}}$

$\displaystyle = 2x^{\frac{1}{3} + \frac{3}{4}}$

$\displaystyle = 2x^{\frac{4}{12} + \frac{9}{12}}$

$\displaystyle = 2x^{\frac{13}{12}}$.

So I agree with your final answer, but please learn some LaTeX to avoid confusing the people who are trying to help you.
