Let x = pounds of soybeans needed.
Let y = pounds of corn needed.

[1] x + y = 320

[2] .16x + .08y = .12(320)

From [1] y = 320 - x

[2].16x + .08(320 - x) = .12(320)

16x + 8(320 - x) = 12(320)

16x + 2560 - 8x = 3840

8x = 1280

x = 160 pounds of soybeans needed

From [1] y = 320 - 160 = 160 pounds of corn needed
