1. ## 4th Grade Math Assignment

Ok I guess I am not smarter than a 4th grader. The wife and I completed this assignment last time and they were incorrect. I have done one in which I thought was correct. Someone tell me how to figure out this assignment.

2. What did you have last time that was incorrect? Maybe they want 77 hundreds?

This is what we thought last time, but this is incorrect.

4. Oh I think I get it. Its how many total in the number. So 77 hundreds, 770 10's 7700 ones. I think lol Are there any other instructions with it?

5. if those are incorrect, then the correct answer is:

77 hundreds for the first
5 hundreds for the second
31 hundreds for the last

there are no tens or ones for any of them. are you sure you're not missing a thousands column?

I am thinking that may be correct. Same here LOL, of course my kid just happen to leave the math book at school. I am going off the instructions from the worksheet. We had this same assignment about 3 weeks ago. My kid did the assignment in class, of course all were wrong and was told to correct the assignment at home.

No the thousands column is not listed as an option.

question: was that table given to your kid? or did he have to come up with his own table?

if he has to come up with his own table, i'd add a thousands column. the result would look like this:

Number.......Thousands...........Hundreds.........Tens..........Ones
.7700...............7......................7..................0...............0
..500................0......................5..................0...............0
.3100...............3.......................1.................0...............0

of course, the problem here is: there's no challenge! all we are doing here is rewriting the numbers themselves with each digit in corresponding columns

EDIT: ok, since the thousands column is not listed, go with my first answer

No my kid didn't make up this table. Ok so are you saying this table is correct?
