RNF = (85% x 15 Million) - (25% x 15 Million) - (6% x 115 Million) (1 - 0.5)

I keep trying to figure this out and I cannot get the right answer. I believe the answer to be

= 5.55 Million well at least that's what the instructor says.

I do not come up with that, so I need to know what I am doing wrong. Thank You

Tell us more, the problem isn't really clear.

Did you take into account that 85% = 0.85 ? Then according to my calculations, I get :

$(0.85 \times 15000000) - (0.25 \times 15000000) - (0.06 \times 115000000) \times 0.5 = 12750000 - 3750000 - 3450000 = 5550000 = 5.55 \ \textrm{million}$

So the answer is indeed 5.55 (modesty

). Can you show us your steps so we can see where you failed and help you to not repeat the same error again ?
