    Finding the x-intercept of a function

    Here's the question:

    26 What is the x-coordinate of the x-intercept of the function ?

    F 12
    G 18
    H 9
    J 2

    The answer is 2, how did they get that?

    Hello Mariolee,
    Draw a line on a graph paper when X=0 what is Y? when Y=0 what is X? Get the picture? To plot a specific equation it should put into form Y= mX + b
