You can see that x = 6 represents 2006 and x = 7 represents 2007. Plug x = 6 into your equation Y=-17777x +27,153. What you'll get for Y will tell you the number of gun deaths in 2006. Now do the same for the year 2007.

BTW, you may want to check your equation again and see if you copied it right, because I'm getting negative numbers for my answers. I suspect you meant
