0.3x -1.1x + 2 < -3-2

-0.8x < -5
x < 6.25

First someone please tell me if I did this wrong.

Second do I need to change my symbol due to the fact that I divided by a negative number?

Yes your answer should be X > 6.25 because you divided by a negative number (which is the same as saying that you multiplied by a negative number).

There is an easy check. Plug x=0 into

0.3x +2 < 1.1x-3

and see whether or not it's true.
