    Irrational Solutions

    Solve each of the following. Express irrational solutions in simplest radical form. If the equasion has no solution, write "no solution".

    1. x^2 = 225

    2. x^2 = -225

    3. a^2 - 64 = 0

    4. 3n^2 - 75 = 0

    5. n^2 - 6 = 0

    6. (n - 5)^2 = 20

    If you can please help me solve these problems I'd be very greatful. Thanks for and help.

    No solution.
    3. a^2 - 64 = 0
    a^2 - 64 thus, a^2 = 64
    a = +/- sqrt(64) = +/- 8
    4. 3n^2 - 75 = 0
    3n^2 = 75 thus, n^2 = 25
    n = +/- sqrt(25) = +/- 5
    . n^2 - 6 = 0
    n^2 = 6
    n = +/- sqrt(6)
    6. (n - 5)^2 = 20
    (n-5) = +/- sqrt(20) = +/- 2*sqrt(5)
    n = 5 +/- 2*sqrt(5)
