how do you get rid of the (1/2)?
$\displaystyle 1+4x^2-\frac12+\frac{1}{64x^2}= 4x^2 +\frac12+\frac{1}{64x^2}$$\displaystyle =(2x)^2 + 2\cdot2x\cdot\frac{1}{8x}+\left(\frac{1}{8x}\right )^2$
$\displaystyle =\left(2x+\frac{1}{8x}\right)^2$
