    hi guy

i have a little math probleem i am having trouble with hope you could help.
    a mountian clim
    he needs to clim 3000m.
he can only carry 100 food.
    1food = 10 m
there is an unlimited amount of food at base camp
he cant go all the way in 1 go so he needs to put up temporary camp where he stores food for later.
by store of foof he need to get to the top
you dont need to get his down from the top

ex if goed 100m up he can store 80 food and get down with 10 food when he gets to base capm he is emty.

what route useis the less amount of food

    I don't understand this part:

he has to move food from bas camp to depos
The rest is fine, but this part bugs me

If he needs to climb 3000 m, then he doesn't have enough food units to go to the top of Mt Everest.

I think that a 'depos' is a temporary camp of some sorts because it says he can make as many depos' as he wants. Though this is probably incorrect because it would seem to be pointless.

Ran a google search on 'depos', unrelated results.

Ok, if he stores food, that doesn't mean he is having more food..

whatever, what are the languages you are good at? Perhaps we can understand one of them...

ok i think he means that he can set up depots to store his food, so he has to make trips back and forth from the base camp so that he has enough food to get to the top.
so i think he is asking what it the most efficient way of getting to the top

I don't know about most food-efficient route, but I can give an upper bound of 52700 food units by following the path in my attachment. (Assuming I made no mistakes... this is the type of problem where I find it's easy to make silly mistakes.)

Anyone care to find a more efficient route, or prove that this one is the most efficient?
