    => 14x - 28 - 7y = 0

    => 14x - 28 = 7y

    => 2x - 4 = y

    => y = 2x - 4.

    14x-7y-28+7y=7y thus 7y=14x-28
    dividing both sides by 7 yields: y=2x-4
