    Modulo

Hi everyone. I've searched around the internet for answers to this one but i could never find a conclusive or easy-enough explanation for it. What does Modulo mean? I know that it has to do with the remainder of a division but i'm not quite sure how you calculate it. If somebody could explain it to me that would be great

Assuming that it's like programming; this is what you do:

If the first term is smaller then the answer is the first term.
    Examples:
    1) 98%100 = 98
    2) 2%67 = 2

If the first term is larger then:
    Example:
11%5 ==> 11/5 = 2.2 so you round it down to the nearest integer and then multiply that by the negative value of the second term and add that to the first term. ==> (2)(-5) + 11 = 1
