    Function Notation

Please let me know if this is the correct way of doing this

    If f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=3-x, find: f(x+1)
    so i insert f(x+1) into 2(x+1)+1 and i get 2x+3

In an equation like that i don't need to worry about the g(x) cause they are not asking me to find g(x), they are only asking me to find f(x). Is this the right way?

    Thank you
