Hello, I am new to this forum. I have for several years and various reasons been stuck at around a pre-algebra level of intelligence. I think I'm ready to move into beginning algebra, but I don't really have a teacher or tutor. Most of my schooling I do myself, so it is kinda hard to try and approach a whole new subject.
I have a few online resources that are sort of scattered but, I think, reliable. However, I don't have anything in the way of a study plan. I don't have enough money to register for any special programs either, but I'm hoping what is available will compensate for that if I can use it correctly.
The thing I am having the most trouble with is where to start, and where to go from there. Most of the websites I have found seem -- and this is probably just inexperience speaking -- to list the topics in a subject, but not organize them like you would actually learn it. If anybody is willing to give some advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I will be studying this from scratch and would really like to start out on the right foot, especially with something like Algebra.
P.S. Also, here's a list of a few of the websites I have to work with:
purplemath.com, brightstorm.com, math.com, and algebrahelp.com.
