    Easy Log Problem. Help

    The problem asks you to evaluate:
    Log(base 3)72 WITHOUT A CALCULATOR.

    You are given the value of Log(base 3)6 and of Log(base 3)4

    How do I solve!!!

    Since \log (xy) = \log (x) + \log (y) in any base, find \log_{3} (3 \times 4 \times 6). You should know that \log_{3} (3) = 1, so add 1 to the other two logs you were already given.
