    You really should start trying to think of these formulas on your own, it will help you in the long run.

    Let Cindy's age be x. Then

    Cindy's Age x 5 = Mr. Schmidt's Age

    So

    5x=35

    x=\frac{35}{5}

    x=7

    Cindy is 7 years old.
