Thread: Simple rewrite?

Hey!

I would be grateful, if anyone can help me with this simple rewrite...

How does

(x-y)/(x+y)

become

1-2y * (1/(x+y)) ?


I mean isn't a x missing? Or?

Note,
x-y=(x+y)-2y

Thus,

(x-y)/(x+y) = ((x+y)-2y)/(x+y) = 1-(2y/(x+y))
