1. ## Football Question Basic

A field goal kicker can kick the fotball 13 yards into the wind. In identical conditions, kicking with the wind, the ball travels 53 yards.

Find the distance the kicker can kick with no wind.
Would that be (53-13)/2 = 20, so 33?

Find the distance controlled by the wind.
Not sure what they mean by this question.

The 33 is correct. I'm not sure what the second question is asking either. Would it be the 20 yards difference the wind makes versus a kick with no wind? Seems logical that this could be the quesiton. But then it could be the difference between 'with the wind' and 'against the wind' too, which would be 40 yards 'controlled' by the wind. If I didn't get a definitive answer either way, I'd hedge my bets and say "20 yards each way, against and with the wind".
