Can someone tell me how many asymptotes the following function has.

$\displaystyle \frac{x^2-x-6}{x^2+2x+1}$

eventually you get this, by dividing:

$\displaystyle 1 - \frac{3x-7}{x^2+2x+1}$

$\displaystyle 1 - \frac{3x-7}{(x+1)(x+1)}$

therefore i got 2 asymptotes:

$\displaystyle y=1, x=-1$
