    Finding Axis of symmetry

    Hi,

I'm having trouble finding the axis of symmetry, I have the formula x= -b/2a

    but

    for the equation

    f(x)=x^2-3

    there isn't a "b", so do I just use 0 for b? and 1 for a?

    thank you.
