"Compute 150% of $70" I tried 150 times 70, but that didn't work. The number is too high. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

To get 100% of something, (ie the whole amount), you multiply by 1.00. To get 50% of something, (half the amount), you multiply by 0.50. So get you 150% of something, you multiply by...
x times 1.0 = x (or 100% of x) x times 1.5 = 1.5x (or 150% of x)
