A cylindrical can with height 12cm has capacity 600mL. What is its radius? (1mL = 1cm³)

The volume is $600\,\textrm{cm}^3$.

The volume of a cylinder is $\pi r^2 h$.

Therefore $12\pi r^2 = 600$

$\pi r^2 = 50$

$r^2 = \frac{50}{\pi}$

$r = \sqrt{\frac{50}{\pi}}$.
