    applications involving multiplication of polynomials

    The velocity V of a blood corpuscle in a vessel depends on the distance r from the center of the vessel and is given by the equation Vr= Vm(1-r2/R2), where Vm is the maximum velocity and R the radius of the vessel. Multiply this expression.

    v_r = v_m\left(1 - \frac{r^2}{R^2}\right)<br />

    ok ... distribute v_m on the right side.
