    solving for X and Y

    If 3/X = 2 and Y/4=3, then 3+Y/X+4 = ?

    My answer was 30/11 or 2 8/11.

    3/x = 2
    => x = 3/2

    y/4 = 3
    => y = 12

    => (3 + y)/(x + 4) = (3 + 12)/(3/2 + 4)
    .........................= 15/(11/2)
    .........................= 2*15/11
    .........................= 30/11
    .........................= 2 8/11
