integral
$2x=3y$

You want to get y by itself
In order to do this you must take the inverse of the coefficient and multiply it by the other side.

$(2x)\frac{1}{3}=y$

Since your multiplying, 2x can go on the numerator.

$\frac{2x(1)}{3}=y$]

anything multiplied by 1 is it's self.

inverse- The number that if multiplied to the original equals 1.

coefficient- The number, not the exponent.

numerator- top part of a simple fraction
