fractional exponent simplification

7x^2 / x^3=
7x^2-3=
7x^-1=
1/7x
this is wrong, please point out how-so

this makes sense to me
7x^2 / x^3=
7x^2-3=
7x^-1=
(7/1)(1/x)=
7/x

Yep , that is correct.

$x^{-a} = \frac{1}{x^a}, \forall a \in \mathbb{R}$

$\frac{7x^2}{x^3}= \frac{7\times x\times x}{x\times x\times x} = \frac{7}{x}$
