    Applications of linear equations

    The length of a rectangular plot of land is 2 times the width. If the perimeter is 2,500 feet, find the dimensions of the plot.


    hi i was just wondering how i would go about solving this where should i begin, can someone explain? thanks.

    w = width; then length = 2w
    So w + w + 2w + 2w = 2500
    Finish it...
