1. ## inverse of function

if f(x)=Sqroot(x-4) , does it have an inverse for x>2 even though the function is undefined for (2,4)

Cheers

$\displaystyle y= \sqrt{x-4}$ has $\displaystyle x \in [4,\infty)$ and $\displaystyle y \in [0,\infty)$

Therefore

$\displaystyle y^{-1}= x^2+4$ has $\displaystyle x \in [0,\infty)$ and $\displaystyle y \in [4,\infty)$
