Do you understand logs? I am trying to find the answer for:

    log (10x) = 3

Can you show me step by step how to answer this, please?

log (10x) = 3 really means log base 10, so this equation can be rearranged into 10^3 = 10x

    10^3 = 1000 = 10x
Divide both sides by 10, and you get x = 100
