    Question [SOLVED] Graphing a parabola, finding focus/directrix/vertex

    Well I've completed pretty much every other problem so far except this one, it stumps me. I believe I must complete the square but I've forgotten how I must go about doing that. I tried it already and nothing worked out and it didn't factor correctly to the answer.

    y=1/4(x^2-2x+5)

    steps please

    vertex is supposed to be at (1,1), focus (1,2), directrix y=0

    Nevermind, figured it out, had to logically think it out but I forgot to isolate the terms on both sides making them (Ax - B)^2 = Cy - D
