    Help with log Proofs

    Hi All,

    Need a quick hand please with a study question:

    I need to prove that

    <br />
log5/36 - log5/9 = -log4<br />

    I thought that maybe rule three might work but I got really lost there...

    Anyhelp or a steer in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Perjac

    I'm going to simplify the left hand side:

    \log\frac{5}{36}-\log\frac{5}{9} =\log\frac{\frac{5}{36}}{\frac{5}{9}}=\log\frac{9}  {36}=\log4^{-1}=-\log4

    Do you see all that?
    Hope I helped
