I have to do a sketch of a crime scene the only problem is I am having a major brain fart as this is not my norm for math. I have to draw out a crime scene to scale using 1/4"=1' ... its confusing but i need help with 1 inch in the fraction form

It always puzzles me when a student says they are having brain farts.

I wonder where their brains are located.

If you are having trouble with the fraction, get rid of it by multiplying both sides of the equation by 4:

    \frac{1}{4}"*4=1'*4
    So, 1"=4'

If you have 2' you need to draw, just use a half-inch. And so on....
