    equations meet?

    Can anyone help me with this?

    Where do the following equations meet. (solve graphically and mathematically)

    Y=2x²-6
    Y=x-3

    <br /> y=2x^2-6<br />
    <br /> y=x-3<br />

    <br /> 2x^2-6=x-3<br />

    <br /> 2x^2-x-3=0<br />

    <br /> (2x-3)(x+1)=0<br />

    x=-1 or x=1.5

    so they meet at -1 and 1.5. you can see this on a graph when the two graphs cross each other
