So that's, because of BODMAS;
\$\displaystyle -36 - 2(11) = -36 - 22 = -58\$

It's the order of calculations.
Brackets
Other (alternatively Indices)
Division
Multiplication
Subtraction

So, in your calculation, you'd do the brackets first, giving;

\$\displaystyle -36 - 11 * 2\$

From there, BODMAS applies, meaning you do the multiplication first, giving;

\$\displaystyle -36 - 22 = -58\$

Not being rude here, just logical: If you show me yours, I'll show you mine. If you want us to verify your answer, would a simple "yes" or "no" be enough of an answer for you? I'm personally OK with that, if that's really what you want. But if you want someone to type out a full solution, would you not best do the same as a matter of courtesy.

As you see, "No" would have been appropriate here.
