    Geometry: Parallel and Perpendicular Lines

    I just want to know how do I do an equation like this
    Find an equation of the line that has a y-intercept of 2 that is parallel to the graph of the line 4x + 2y = 8

    parallel lines have the same slope. so find the slope of your first line. Then use that along with your second y-intercept to get the equation of your second line.
