    Finding percentage increase.

I am trying to figure how to calculate a percentage. If I made 522 dollars one week, then 549 the next week, what is the percentage difference, or increase, that I made. (I know I made $27 more the 2nd week, but how do I figure the percentage increase that I made?) Thanks.

    Hey buddy,

What you want to do is divide the amount of change (27) by the initial value (522)

    so 27/522 = .05 ...which is 5% increase.
