Me and fractions have always been sworn enemies, till this very day I have trouble with them. So I suppose to simplify -5.1 ____ 1.7 Now the answer is said to be negative three I just want to know how do you get -3, any help?

Or you could use long division. ..........-3 1.7 ----5.1 ...........5.1 ................0 r=0 answer=-3 (only reason I mention is because for higher numbers and decimals it is easier)
