help please
13. This year Kishan gets £260 a week for his work.
This is 30% more than his weekly pay last year.
His friend Danny says
"That means you got only £182 a week last year".
Danny is wrong.
a)Explain why Danny is wrong.
.........................................
b) Calculate Kishan's real weekly pay last year..
.£..............

(130/100)x=260
so x=200
x is last year weekly pay

duh...thanks :) it's easy

As for explaining what Danny did wrong, instead of realizing that 260 was 130% of the original amount, he made the error of assuming that 70% of the current payment was equivalent to 30% more than his former pay.
So he multilplied 260*70%, and got 182. By dividing 260 by 130%, as the above poster did, you get 200, which is the correct answer.
Hope this helps for the first half of the question!
