Rewrite $\displaystyle 6x^{5/3}$ as $\displaystyle 6 \times x^{5/3}$

$\displaystyle \frac{6 \times x^{5/3}}{x^{7/5}} = \frac{6}{1} \times \frac{x^{5/3}}{x^{7/5}}$

Now you can use the laws of exponents on the x term. In particular $\displaystyle x^a \div x^b = x^{a-b}$ - Jan 29th 2010, 11:20 AMthekrown
Thank you.
