You must write them in the form:

$\displaystyle (x-a)(x-b)= x^2-(a+b)x+ab$

Thus if $\displaystyle x^2+4x+3 = x^2-(a+b)x+ab$, can you find a,b?

Likewise for the other. - Jan 24th 2010, 06:48 PMray5432
1) (x+1)(x+3)

2) (x - 10)(x-2)
