Thread: Need help with linear equation

problem is : 2y - 14 = 4

we are supposed to put it in slope/ intercept form then use a function to graph it but how can i do that without an x?

x wasn't there? you sure you read it correctly?

in any case, solve for y. if you have y = constant, the slope is zero.

nope not there, so for my function table would both X and Y columns be all 0's?

no, x can be whatever it wants, y will remain constant. whatever constant you get when you solve the equation.

by the way, to graph something like y = constant making a table is completely unnecessary. for straight lines, making tables are always unnecessary, but i understand that sometimes you're required to do that
