    Help find value for y

    when...

    2x + 3y + 2 = 9
    x - 2y -z = 4
    x -3y + 2z = -3

    what is y? I don't know how to solve this, please help. TY.

    Yes, I think for the first one you meant: 3x+3y+2x=9. There are actually many ways to do this problem, substitution being the longest and matrices being the shortest. Are you familiar with matrices and their inverses?
