Given the problem is it possible to solve?

    A. Owen spent 3 hours picking apples from an apple tree with x apples. He spent the first two hours picking apples at the same rate. On the third hour, he picked 3/4 of the remaining apples on the tree. At the end of the third hour, 60 apples were left on the tree. How many apples were there on the tree before Owen had picked them?
