Thread: Transposition Help

I would be most grateful if someone could help me with the following transposition, basically I’m trying to rearrange an equation to match an answer sheet I have; I’m sure this is simple but if anyone can describe the steps that would be great.

o.k my equation is:

v = -1 / -kt+c

I know that this can be simplified to:

v = 1 / kt-c

I’m just not sure how I get there, thanks.

Thanks, but can you actually provide the steps as I cannot see how this gets rid of the minus sign in front of the k (I see that it will change the t+c to t-c)?
