[SOLVED] Reduce to single power..take 2.
Right… here I go again, (hopefully not another blond moment)! I know I can get this Latex thing sorted so here goes:

Please could anyone show me how to reduce the following expression?

$\displaystyle \frac{(\sqrt)^6\frac{3}{8}}{\frac{1}{4}}$

Just to let you know, a 'gillyman' has also been asking the same question!

Hello Tonio,

This time i,ve got the equation right in Latex format. That is how it looks in the question paper. Now you cn see why i was having problems with it!

Ok, I see...well, go and grab that paper and burn it to ashes, because that expression makes no sense, of course: there's a square root...with nothing in it! (Rofl)That can't be right, for sure.

Perhaps you meant $\displaystyle \frac{(\sqrt{\frac{3}{8}})^6}{\frac{1}{4}}$ ?

Or is it $\displaystyle \frac{\sqrt{\frac{3^6}{8}}}{\frac{1}{4}}$ ?

Or perhaps $\displaystyle \frac{\sqrt[6]{\frac{3}{8}}}{\frac{1}{4}}$ ...?

Hard to guess, but the OP said the last time he posted that it was as it appears in his book (or homework)....weird thing.
