I need a way to solve this equation :
x^3-8x^2-4x+32
I know the solution is :
(x+2)(x-2)(x-8) , but i don't know how to find it

this not an equation you can solve for x
first factor by grouping
$\displaystyle x^2(x-8)-4(x-8)$
next factor out $\displaystyle (x-8)$
$\displaystyle (x^2 -4)(x -8)$
with the difference in squares we have
$\displaystyle
(x+2)(x-2)(x-8)
