    I don't have my calculator on me, but look at it this way:
    (0.97)^6 = (1 - 0.03)^6 = 1^6 + 6*(1)^5*(0.03)^1 + ... + 6*(1)*(0.03)^5 + (0.03)^6

    Hello,

    express this number as a binom:

    0.97^6 = (1 - 0.03)^6 = 1*1^6 - 6*1^5*0.03 + 15*1^4*0.03^2 - 20*1^3*0.03^3 + 15*1^2*0.03^4 - 6*1*0.03^5 + 1*0.03^6

    The powers of 0.03 become very small very soon (for instance 0.03^3 = 0.000027) so you don't need the last three summands.
