    Determine the equation of the line of symmetry of the quadratic function ?

    Determine the equation of the line of symmetry of the quadratic function given bellow.

    The equation of the line of symmetry is of the form x = k. What is the value of k?

    How do I go about solving this?

    I'm guessing:

    The general form of the equation of the function is

    y = a(x-k)^2+h

    where k is the x-coordinate of the vertex and h is the y-coordinate of the vertex.
