Solve using the addition and multiplication principles: 13/5a + 9/4 = 37/8 13/5a + 9/4 - 9/4 = 37/8 - 9/4 13/5a = 28/4 5/13 * 13/5a = 28/4 a = 28/4 * 5/13 a = 140/52 Please let me know if I'm doing this right. Thank you!

Method is correct, but you need to have a common denominator when adding or subtracting fractions. So instead of it should be

Thank you! you did not subtract correctly the correct answer is try reworking the problem with this information
So it would be 13/5a = 37/8 - 18/8 5/13 * 13/5a = 19/8 then a = 19/8 * 5/13 a = 95/104 OR I am just out of this world! Let me know if I got it right, please!
THat's correct
Can I simplify it any further?
THANK YOU TWO VERY MUCH! *****
