    quadratic functions

    The function can be used to determine the milligrams D of a certain drug in a patient's bloodstream h hours after the drug has been given. How many milligrams (to two decimals) will be present after

    Every time I do this on my calculator I get an error. Can anyone help me out?

    We can't see the image because it's part of a password protected page. Are you allowed to get help on this as well? If you are, you need to copy the image to somewhere like imageshack.com or type out the information.

    Sorry, I'll just type it out.

    The function D(h)=7e^(-0.4h) can be used to determine the milligrams D of a certain drug in a patient's bloodstream h hours after the drug has been given. How many milligrams (to two decimals) will be present after 11 hours.

    Substitute the 11 for h; therefore, the equation will now look like this

    <br />
7e^{-4.4}<br />

    Can you solve it now?


    If it is a calculator issue .. I would do it this way

    whatever the command is for e

    for example on my calculator it is 2nd e

    so I would do something like this

    2nd e ^ -4.4 enter * 7 enter
